Current Scientific Activity
My interest is mainly on image processing, pattern recognition and its application on remote sensing. In the past, I have joined in multiple projects including air pollution modeling, motion-based wind field extraction, land cover/land use classification. Recently, I carried out research about ship detection and monitoring using Optical (VNREDSat-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat8) and SAR (Sentinel-1, TerraSAR-X) satellite images.
Summary of Professional Achievments
I had my Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science in 2013 and 2016 respectively from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU). Since late 2013, I have joined FIMO center, carried out research on remote sensing application in air pollution mapping, land cover/land use change, ship detection and 3D Virtual City. From February to August 2015, I have interned at National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo, Japan. Beside, I had experienced industry enviroment at FPT Software in Hanoi, Vietnam in the field of software engineering from 2012-2013.
Mobility across Thematic Areas
Video coding (H264 codec), Image Processing (segmentation, recognition, skimming), Machine Learning (classification, clustering), Remote Sensing (optical satellite images, aerosol, air pollution, forest fire, land cover/land use change, ship detection)
Geographic Mobility
