Current Scientific Activity
My current research interest is field of geometric modeling. This is the field that studies methods and algorithms for the mathematical description of 3D objects and discusses the mathematical methods behind the modeling of 3D objects for computer graphics and computer aided design. We examine the mathematics of curve and surface design, the methods of Bézier, B-splines, and subdivision surfaces that are in use today throughout computer aided design. Currently, I am also interested in curve and surface fitting geometric algorithms for 3D reconstruction. We also researched on network technologies and distributed computing that can address the processing of problems with large amount of data.
Summary of Professional Achievments
Since 1998, I has been lecturer at the University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (DUT). In 2005, I was chief of Computer network Department, and since 2010, I has been vice dean of Information Technology Faculty at University of Science and Technology. Since 2015, I am associate professor of DUT. I am currently responsible for relation between enterprises and IT Faculty. I am also collaborating with team LSIS in France to co-supervise PhD students and research in geometric modeling.
