Current Scientific Activity
I have been a Full Professor at Toulouse Jean Jaurès University since September 2021.
My research is in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and more specifically concerns Knowledge Engineering and the Semantic Web. Anchored in the field of AI, the research themes in which I am interested have evolved with the development of the Web and societal issues. Focused during my thesis on the use of ontologies to
facilitate the task of searching for information within a corpus of texts, today they address the issues related to the integration of connected-objects as Web resources, knowledge graphs and distributed reasoning in the Internet of Things, knowledge graphs for Digital Humanities as well as the hybridization of symbolic reasoning and machine-learning.
Summary of Professional Achievments
I received my PhD in Computer Science at Toulouse 3 University in 2005. In December 2019, I defended my « Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches » (accreditation to supervise research) thesis entitled « Centrality of ontologies: from the Semantic Web of users to the Semantic Web of objects » at the Toulouse Jean Jaurès
University. Since 2001, my laboratory has been IRIT, Toulouse France.
Mobility across Geographic Areas
I have applied my research in the fields of astronomy, agriculture and the Internet of Things.
Geographic Mobility
France, Spain (Madrid), Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Belgium
