Current Scientific Activity

My teaching and research activities are focused on Web technologies. More precisely, I am interested in the use of Semantic Web Technologies for accessing and reusing Web resources. Recently I have focused part of my research on using ontologies for the management of Earth Observation Data. In the framework of the SparkInData PIA project (2015-2018), I have contributed to the development of a semantic description process for satellite images. I am also involved in the development of the Semantic Web of Things whose aim is to semantically describe things (sensors, actuators, gateways, people, locations, …) of the Internet of Things and the data they collect.

In Montus, I will contribute with an expertise in teaching and in research on Semantic Web technologies.

Summary of Professional Achievments

I received my PhD in Computer Science at Toulouse 3 University in 2005. My research domain was about semantic models for document retrieval. Since 2007, I am an assistant professor at University Toulouse Jean Jaures and have extended my research domain to the Semantic Web. I have co-supervised 7 PhD and contributed to more than 50 publications. For more than 10 years, I have been teaching Web and Semantic Web technologies in several Masters (UT2J, UPS, Insa).

Mobility across Geographic Areas

I have applied my research in the fields of astronomy, agriculture and the Internet of Things.

Geographic Mobility

France, Spain (Madrid), Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, Belgium
