Current Scientific Activity
Lecturer at Department of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Environment & Natural Resources, Nong Lam University since September 2019.
In terms of my work experience, I had the opportunity to participate in various projects ranging from the local to the international level, which allowed me to significantly improve not only my knowledge but also my teamwork skills. In recent years, I learned a lot about socioeconomic issues from an environmental perspective through projects such as “Climate change vulnerability assessment in Tra Su Melaleuca Forest” funded by IUCN and “Assessment of household livelihood vulnerability to climate change in Ben Tre Province, Vietnam” funded by NLU. Participating in the projects made me realize my passion for environmental sustainability. Furthermore, thanks to the master’s program courses at Universität Trier, I am now able to use software for research purposes such as ArcGIS, ERDAS, STELLA, and so on. Besides, I am also good at laboratory analysis skills, especially analyzing water and wastewater parameters. I am also very hardworking and interested in learning about new things, and I believe I can quickly learn new techniques to help with my studies and research.
I want to be an environmental scientist to help my community adapt to climate change and resolve environmental issues. Born and raised in the Mekong Delta, I am intimately familiar with the region’s hardships and poverty. The Mekong Delta has been identified as one of the areas most impacted by climate change, sea-level rise, and several environmental problems in recent years. I hope that I will be able to contribute to making people’s lives here more sustainable and the environment cleaner in the future.
