Current Scientific Activity
Ha Chi has obtained Master degree from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) with the research on health burdens associated with air pollution. She is currently working as research assistant at the Environmental Engineering and Management dealing with several research projects, and also enrolling as a PhD student in the same field of study. Her research of interests are mainly on application of 3-dimensional chemistry transport model, health effects, application of cloud computing into air quality prediction, emission inventory.
Summary of Professional Achievments
She has been involved in writing 3 book chapters for TORUS project, including Atmospheric modeling with focus on management of input and output data, WRF Performance Analysis, and Development of emission database for air pollutants and greenhouse gases. Her master’s thesis used photochemical modeling tool to assess particulate matter quality in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region and the associated health burden. She has demonstrated the method and result of modeling for air quality management in a training course of Asia Pacific Clean Air Partnership (APCAP) for participants from Asian countries. In addition, she also has seven years of experience in the environmental and social impact assessment for power projects (thermal power plants, wind – farm, transmission lines).
Mobility across Thematic Areas
Photochemical Smog Modeling at urban and regional scale, Health Effect Assessment, Emission Inventory, Climate Change, Application of Cloud Computing for Air Quality management, Application of Remote Sensing for air quality monitoring.
Geographic Mobility
Thailand – Vietnam – France
